Turkish Women’s Super League champions Fenerbahçe have completed the signing of Nigerian midfielder Suliat Abideen from fellow Turkish club ABB Fomget.
The Istanbul-based side announced the transfer on Monday, confirming that the 24-year-old has signed a contract that will keep her at the club until the end of the current season.
Abideen’s arrival takes the number of Nigerian players at Fenerbahçe to three, joining compatriots Regina Otu and Flourish Sabastine in the squad.
The move marks the second European club of Abideen’s professional career following her spell with ABB Fomget.
The Nigerian midfielder first gained national recognition after playing a pivotal role in Edo Queens’ historic Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) title-winning campaign in 2024.
Her impressive displays throughout the season earned her the NWFL Most Valuable Player (MVP) award, attracting interest from clubs abroad.
Fenerbahçe will be hoping Abideen’s creativity, energy and experience strengthen the squad as the club prepares to defend its Turkish Women’s Super League title and compete in European competitions.
