The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has made significant progress in its investigation into the fatal attack on a Boys Brigade camping site in Zhayidna Village, Orozo, which led to the death of a young camper, Johnson John.
The tragic incident occurred on March 29 when armed men stormed the camp and attacked Johnson, a fresh graduate. He later succumbed to the injuries sustained during the assault.
Given an update into the investigation, the spokesperson of the FCT police command, SP Josephine Adeh, said while acting on credible intelligence and digital tracking conducted on the mobile phones of the deceased, the Divisional Police Officer Karshi, CSP Mbang Usang led a team of Police operatives, trailed and arrested three suspects in connection with the incident. Adeh gave the names of the arrested suspects as Stanley Ukweze, Dauda Yohana, and Gemu Adamu, all residents of Wasa Village, Karshi.
‘’At the time of arrest, three mobile phones were recovered from the suspects, two of which have been confirmed to belong to the deceased. The suspects are in custody and will be charged to court at the conclusion of investigation.” she said.
She added that the Commissioner of Police, FCT Command, CP Ajao S. Adewale, has reaffirmed the Command’s dedication to a thorough and uncompromising investigation.
