The Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission (FCT-CSC) has disowned an online advertisement claiming that 3,000 vacancies are available in the FCT civil service.
In a statement issued by its management, the Commission described the publication as “fake news,” warning the public against falling victim to fraudsters.
“The attention of the Federal Capital Territory Civil Service Commission, FCT-CSC, has been drawn to an online publication/advertisement circulating on social media platforms requesting prospective job applicants to apply for a non-existent ‘3,000 job vacancies,’” the statement read.
“We wish to state emphatically that the publication is FAKE NEWS. It is the handiwork of fraudsters who intend to defraud unsuspecting members of the public, especially job seekers.
“The FCT-CSC, therefore, wishes to inform the public to disregard such unauthentic information. It is false and has nothing to do with the FCT-CSC.”
The Commission urged members of the public to verify any employment-related information directly at its headquarters, located at the APDC Building, behind the Abuja Geographical Information System (AGIS) complex in the Central Business District, Abuja.
