A Nigerian woman, Lister Mathew Osas, has shared an emotional update after appealing to the public to help locate her mother’s three children who had been missing for more than 30 years.
In a video posted on social media, Lister announced that her mother’s children have been found and successfully reunited with the family.
Just two days earlier, she had appealed for public assistance, explaining that her mother’s three children were allegedly taken away by their Cameroonian father in Kaduna over three decades ago. She said her mother, an indigene of Cross River State, had remained in Kaduna all those years, hoping to one day be reunited with them.
Sharing the joyful news, Lister revealed that she had already spoken with her newly found siblings for several hours.
“I was able to connect with them yesterday; I was on a call for two to three hours. The best thing is that it didn’t feel like I was talking to strangers. It feels like we were searching for each other.
“For the longest time, I have been an only child. Knowing that I have sisters and a brother, it feels like I am in a trance. I like this. My mum has 11 grandchildren.
“God is so faithful, guys! God has answered our prayers.”
Fighting back tears in the video, Lister expressed gratitude for the overwhelming support the family received and described the reunion as a dream come true after decades of uncertainty.
