Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals has reduced its petrol prices, setting its gantry rate at N1,200 per litre and coastal price at N1,153 per litre.

The adjustment was announced on Thursday in a statement by the company’s spokesperson, Anthony Chijiena. The 650,000 barrels-per-day refinery slashed its gantry price by N85, down from N1,285 per litre.

The latest reduction follows a series of at least five price increases implemented by the refinery since March 2026, driven by tensions in the Middle East that affected global crude oil prices.

The downward review is expected to impact fuel supply costs across distribution channels, including depots and retail outlets, potentially easing pump prices for consumers if sustained.
