Popular media personality and broadcaster, Daddy Freeze, has opened up about the circumstances surrounding his first marriage to his ex-wife, Opeyemi, revealing that pregnancy was the main reason they got married.
Speaking during an interview with Chude Jideonwo, Freeze disclosed that he and his ex-wife were too young and immature at the time, admitting that they “had no business getting married.”
“We had no business getting married because we were very young and immature. I was 24, and she was 22 when we married. She was pregnant. If she were not pregnant, I’m not sure we would have gotten married,” he said.
The on-air personality further alleged that his ex-wife has denied him access to their children since their separation nearly a decade ago.
“My ex-wife and I are very stubborn. She will not hear, and I will not hear. It was two damaged people in a union. My only pain is that the marriage didn’t work, but can I at least see or talk to my kids? They’re out of the country. I traced them, but I don’t want to sneak up on them. If they want to see me, a DM on social,” Freeze added.
The pair’s marriage, which ended several years ago, has been a subject of public discussion, with Freeze now remarried to Benedicta Elechi.
