Channels TV political correspondent, Seun Akinbaloye, has dismissed claims linking him to a secret cult, affirming that he is a devout Christian.
The journalist’s reaction follows a viral video that sparked speculation about his alleged involvement in a cult group. Addressing the controversy while hosting senior lawyer Femi Falana on Monday, Akinbaloye explained that the footage was taken during his recent visit to his alma mater, where he studied Theatre Arts.
The “video I made when I went back to my alma mater where I studied theatre art.
“That was an induction program for new students in the Performing and Film Arts Department, where I did mine about 25 years ago,” he clarified.
“I went back to honour them and welcome them into the creative community but people said they didn’t know I have traditional occultic power.
“I’m not a member of a secret cult, I’m a child of God. I’m a Christian born into a Christian family”.
