Champions League: Kane, Mbappé Lead Top Scorers After Matchday One

The opening round of the 2025/26 UEFA Champions League group stage concluded on Thursday, with several players making early statements in the race for the Golden Boot.

Bayern Munich striker Harry Kane and Real Madrid’s Kylian Mbappé headline the list of top scorers, each netting a brace in their respective matches. Kane struck twice against Chelsea, while Mbappé scored both goals in Madrid’s victory over Marseille.

They are joined by a host of other players who also found the net twice in Matchday One fixtures.
