their performance of two years ago as they look to become the first
Nigerian team to win the competition.
They will host Banjul Hawks of Gambia at the Godswill Akpabio International Stadium on Sunday.
The
Promise Keepers lost out in the preliminary round in 2016, going down
to a 6-5 penalty shootout defeat to Vita Club Mokanda of Congo
following a 1-1 aggregate scoreline.
Nigeria’s
other representatives Enyimba were drawn into the next round and will
face the winners of Energie of Benin Republic versus Guinea’s Hafia in
the first round
