The burial service for the late Olubadan of Ibadan, Oba Owolabi Olakulehin, is ongoing at the Cathedral of St. Peter’s, Aremo, Ibadan.
The ceremony marks the final rites for the 43rd Olubadan, who died on July 7, 2025, just two days after celebrating his 90th birthday.
As a mark of honour, all markets in Ibadan were ordered to close between 5 a.m. and 12 noon today.
The burial follows a series of events held in his memory, including a lying-in-state and an interfaith service at Mapo Hall on Wednesday.
