Nigerian social media personality Idris Okuneye, popularly known as Bobrisky, has criticised the rising price of petrol in Nigeria, questioning why the product is now selling for as much as ₦1,600 per litre in some parts of the country.
Bobrisky raised the concern in a post on his Instagram page on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, while reacting to the latest increase in petrol prices.
He compared the situation with fuel prices abroad, saying he had not experienced similar sudden increases or fuel scarcity during his time outside Nigeria.
The social media personality also urged Nigerians to seek opportunities that would enable them to survive and live better lives.
His comments come amid renewed concerns over rising petrol prices following an increase in Dangote Refinery’s petrol gantry price from ₦1,265 to ₦1,350 per litre on September 12.
The development has sparked fresh reactions from Nigerians as the higher fuel prices continue to affect transportation and household expenses.
