Popular Nigerian businesswoman and hair entrepreneur Bo Hair has released CCTV footage which she claims shows the alleged involvement of her former nanny, Lilian Okoro, in an armed robbery at her Lagos residence in December 2025.
Bo Hair shared the footage on social media, saying the recordings helped her understand how the robbery was allegedly carried out and why she believes someone inside the house may have assisted the intruder.
According to her account, the CCTV footage shows the nanny waking up around 3am after receiving a message and subsequently moving towards a window to monitor the surroundings. Bo alleged that the nanny later went into a bathroom, where there was no CCTV camera, and made a phone call before returning to the window.
Bo further claimed that the footage showed the nanny remaining awake and monitoring the area while an armed man allegedly attempted to gain entry into the property through a window. She alleged that the nanny appeared to be watching the room where the gateman was sleeping to ensure he did not wake up while the intruder gained access.
She also questioned why the nanny appeared to remain awake and wait for the intruder before eventually sitting on a mat for more than 20 minutes. According to Bo, the footage later showed the nanny appearing to wait for the man to enter the house.
Bo said she was initially reluctant to accuse her nanny because she trusted her and had even defended her when the police questioned her and the gateman following the robbery. However, she said reviewing the CCTV footage over time changed her perception of what happened that night.
The robbery reportedly occurred on December 17, 2025, with Bo saying armed men entered her home and demanded cash, foreign currency, jewellery and other valuables. She alleged that the attackers threatened her and her son during the incident.
However, Lilian Okoro has denied involvement in the robbery and reportedly maintained that she was wrongfully accused. She was arrested in connection with the case but was later released following a court order in April 2026.
While Bo Hair says the CCTV footage supports her allegations, there has been no publicly reported independent verification establishing that the nanny participated in the robbery. The allegations therefore remain disputed between the two parties.
