Benue State Governor, Hyacinth Alia, has honoured Super Falcons forward and state indigene, Francisca Mlumun Ordega, with a cash gift of N50 million and a three-bedroom flat.
The gesture was announced on Wednesday night, August 7, during a dinner held in her honour for her role in helping Nigeria’s women’s national football team secure their 10th Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) title.
Governor Alia also revealed that a street in the state would be renamed after Ordega, describing her as a source of pride and inspiration to young athletes.
The event, attended by prominent guests including music star 2Face Idibia, celebrated Ordega’s achievements and contributions to Nigerian football.
