Bank workers and customers in Jos, Plateau state joined the call by NLC
that workers should go on strike on Wednesday as banking activities were crippled.
Despite the closure of Banks the major business part of Jos was busy as usual as business activities continued. Places around Ahmadu Bello Way, Terminus, Gada Biu etc. on the day one of the NLC strike were all full of activities. It
seems residents of Jos defied the orders of labour to stock their homes
with food and sit at home. Most shops are opened except for banks that
are closed.
