Arsenal Star Max Dowman Honoured With Three Guinness World Records

Arsenal teenage sensation Max Dowman has been presented with three official Guinness World Records certificates following his record-breaking breakthrough season.

The 16-year-old received the honours from Guinness World Records adjudicator Caitlin Hyem at Arsenal’s training ground, recognising three historic achievements he accomplished before turning 17.

Dowman holds the record as the youngest player to appear in the UEFA Champions League, having made his Arsenal debut in the competition against Slavia Prague on November 4, 2025, at the age of 15 years and 308 days. He became the first 15-year-old to feature in the competition.

He also became the youngest goalscorer in Premier League history when he scored against Everton on March 14, 2026, aged 16 years and 73 days. Dowman scored a late breakaway goal after carrying the ball about 60 metres from his own half to help Arsenal secure a 2–0 victory.

His third record came after Arsenal won the 2025/26 Premier League title. Dowman, aged 16 years and 144 days, became the youngest player to win the Premier League, surpassing the previous record held by Manchester City star Phil Foden by more than a year.

Dowman has also been included in Guinness World Records’ “Class of ’27”, a selection of 30 promising young talents in men’s and women’s football. The group also features Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal, Manchester City’s Ayyoub Bouaddi and Chelsea goalkeeper Hannah Hampton.

The teenager’s achievements have added to his growing reputation as one of the most exciting young players in European football, having continued to make appearances for Arsenal’s senior team following his breakthrough last season.
