The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Prof. Nentawe Yilwatda, has visited victims of the recent Angwan Rukuba attack currently receiving treatment at Jos University Teaching Hospital, describing the incident as barbaric and unacceptable.

Yilwatda, who was accompanied by his wife, Dr. Martina Yilwatda, paid a solemn visit to the injured victims on Saturday, where he expressed compassion and solidarity with them and their families during the difficult period.

Speaking during the visit, the APC chairman condemned the attack, stating that it was a direct assault on shared humanity and should not be allowed to become a recurring occurrence in society.

“This must not become another normal story,” he said, stressing the need for collective responsibility in protecting lives across the country.

Yilwatda assured the victims and their families of the Federal Government’s commitment, under the leadership of Bola Ahmed Tinubu, to safeguard lives and bring an end to senseless killings.

He also extended his condolences to families who lost their loved ones in the attack, offering prayers for strength and comfort as they mourn.

The APC chairman further commended the management and staff of the hospital for their prompt and professional response in attending to the victims and helping to save lives.

He called on leaders, communities, and citizens to unite and take urgent action to prevent further violence, emphasizing that Plateau State must not continue to experience such tragedies.
