The eight teams advancing to the quarter-finals of the 2025 Africa U-20 Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Egypt have been confirmed following the conclusion of the group stage matches on Friday.
Recall that Egypt defeated Tanzania 1–0, while South Africa played a 1–1 draw with Zambia.
The results mean both Egypt and South Africa progress to the quarter-finals.
The two teams join the other six sides who had already secured qualification for the last eight.

The 2025 Africa U-20 quarter-finals will commence on Monday.
