The Leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church, Primate Elijah Ayodele, has issued a warning to several Nigerian governors regarding the growing strength of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) coalition ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Speaking on Tuesday through a statement released by his media aide, Oluwatosin Osho, the cleric cautioned that the ADC coalition has the potential to unseat some sitting governors if they fail to take the threat seriously.
“Some Nigerian governors will be removed from power by ADC if care isn’t taken,” Primate Ayodele warned. “They will find it difficult to secure re-election in a free and fair contest. The only path to victory for some may be rigging.”
He stressed that the ruling parties should not dismiss the growing influence of the opposition coalition, noting that while the threat may not seem immediate, it could become decisive by 2027.
This warning comes days after the prophet had earlier sounded a note of caution to governors in states like Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Kaduna, Zamfara, and Ondo, stating that their chances of re-election were not guaranteed.
“The governors of Akwa Ibom, Delta, Enugu, Cross River, Kaduna, Zamfara, and Ondo must work well to get a second term in office,” he said. “It’s not certain for them unless they combine hard work with prayers. This is a signal of what lies ahead.”
Primate Ayodele is known for issuing political prophecies, many of which have sparked conversations among political stakeholders and the public alike.
