Lighthouse Rescue Sports Outreach President Visits Taraba State Ahead of Nigerian and Taraba Christian Cups
As part of the ongoing preparations for the upcoming Nigerian Christian Cup and Taraba Christian Cup, the President of Lighthouse Rescue Sports Outreach (LRSO), Geoffrey Bottson, embarked on a five-day working tour in Taraba State from Wednesday, August 14th to Friday, August 16th, 2024.
During his visit, Mr. Bottson inspected the facilities at the Taraba State University Stadium to assess their readiness for the upcoming tournaments. He also participated in media interviews with TTV and Shinmo FM, where he discussed the significance of the events and their potential impact on youth development in the region. Additionally, he visited the Sports Chaplain, further strengthening the spiritual support network for the athletes.
LRSO organized an orientation session during the tour, which saw the participation of several players and coaches from registered churches. The session aimed to align all participants with the objectives of the tournaments and ensure their preparedness for the competitions.
As preparations continue, the organizers have issued a call for sponsorship, emphasizing the events’ potential to develop sporting talent among the youth and uncover new talents across the region.
