In adherence to the one-week mourning period declared by the Governor of Plateau State, His Excellency Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, following the tragic Christmas Eve Massacre on December 24th, 2023, the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (IBBN), under the leadership of Prophet Dr. Isa El-Buba, extends an invitation to all well-meaning Nigerians in Plateau State.
The Plateau Prayer and Mourning Rally, scheduled for tomorrow, Saturday, January 6th, 2024, will bring together women groups, youth organizations, religious bodies, NGOs, pressure groups, and concerned citizens. The event aims to honor the victims of the recent violence in parts of Bokkos and Barkin Ladi Local Government Areas.
Participants are encouraged to dress in black attire, maintain orderliness, and engage in a prayerful atmosphere throughout the two-hour event. The rally is set to commence at 9 am prompt, starting from the Old Airport and culminating at the Secretariat Junction, Jos, for a solemn gathering featuring mourning, prayers, and messages from key Nigerians and stakeholders in the Plateau Project.
The National Director of the Initiative for Better and Brighter Nigeria (I.B.B.N), Amb. Yemi Matthew, confirmed that all relevant security agencies have been duly notified to ensure the safety and smooth conduct of the Plateau Prayer and Mourning Rally.
