The management of Crispan Suites and Event Centre in Jos, Plateau State, has reiterated its dedication to providing top-notch service, labeling the hotel as “a home away from home” for guests and visitors.
Speaking with journalists in Jos today, Mrs. Vetlana Alexandrovna, the General Manager of Crispan Suites and Event Centre, expressed concern over the negative portrayal of insecurity in the state by the media. She emphasized that such portrayals, especially when they involve Jos, the state capital, have deterred tourists and investors from visiting the city.
“While the security challenges in parts of the state have reduced tourist inflow, thereby impacting the hospitality industry, we want people to know that Plateau State is not as portrayed in the media,” Mrs. Alexandrovna stated. “Despite the security challenges, there are numerous attractions and positive aspects of Plateau State that can be showcased to the world.”
She highlighted the impact of media reports on the hotel’s business, noting instances where reservations were canceled due to security concerns fueled by media coverage.
Mr. Ibrahim Babila, the Sales Manager of the hotel, emphasized the hotel’s commitment to security and comfort for guests. He assured the public that Crispan Suites and Event Centre prioritizes security measures and does not accommodate individuals of questionable character.
In addition to internal security arrangements, Mrs. Alexandrovna mentioned the hotel’s collaboration with conventional security agencies to enhance security measures.
“We work closely with security agencies, conducting thorough security checks before guests check in,” she explained.
Furthermore, the management called on the state government to improve infrastructure and increase flights to Yakubu Gowon Airport from Lagos and other parts of the country to boost tourism and business activities in Plateau State.
Crispan Suites and Event Centre remains steadfast in its commitment to excellence, despite the prevailing security challenges, and continues to provide a safe and welcoming environment for guests and visitors in Jos.
