Plateau State Governor, Barr. Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang, remains undeterred by the recent Appeal Court verdict nullifying his election, referring to it as a temporary setback. In a statement on Sunday, Governor Mutfwang expressed optimism about restoring the overwhelming mandate given to him by the people of Plateau State. He has instructed his legal team to file an appeal at the Supreme Court.
Admonishing citizens and supporters of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to stay calm, the Governor assured them that, with faith in God, the people’s mandate would be preserved and protected. Emphasizing his commitment to the rule of law, he conveyed confidence in the judiciary and the Nigerian constitution.
Governor Mutfwang appealed for the maintenance of law and order, assuring everyone that victory for Plateau is imminent. He reiterated his dedication and integrity in serving the state, expressing faith that, ultimately, Plateau will emerge triumphant to the glory of God.
