In a significant update, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike, has revealed that he successfully saved over N110 billion within his first three months in office.
The disclosure was made during a meeting with Estate Developers and Residents’ Associations at the FCDA Conference Hall in Abuja on Tuesday, November 21.
Wike said that the money he saved would be attached to projects to accelerate their completion.
“Three months in office, I can tell you authoritatively, I have saved not less than N110 billion for the FCT and this money will be attached to projects so that people will see indeed that the taxes we are paying are being utilized for the interest of the people,” he said.
The former Rivers State Governor went on to disclose that the Federal Capital Territory would be rolling out its buses and taxi scheme in the next month.
