The emergence of Caleb Mutfwang, as the PDP Plateau Gubernatorial Candidate for the 2023 election, has been described as a fresh start for the party and a clear chance to mend relationships and restore Plateau state, to where the party left off in 2015.
Hon Yiljap Abraham, Chairman of the Media and Publicity Committee for the 2022 Plateau PDP Gubernatorial Primary Election made this assertion while speaking to journalists shortly after the Guber Primaries held at Langsfield in Jos Plateau state.
He noted that first and foremost Plateau State has had an expectation of what the Peoples Democratic Party should do and be in Plateau, coming from the antecedents of development set in the years past and the decline that has led to a great deal of rot as such people have been looking forward to a fresh start.
Yiljap said the PDP by the successful conduct of the primaries has set its house in order because it has conducted a very transparent process of producing a flag Bearer without any technical or political hitch.
He also said that the successful conduct of the Primaries means that the party is back on the path of growth, The part of unifying itself, the part of putting itself as a very relevant developmental agent or channel for the citizens of Plateau state.
“The fact that we have 18 Gubernatorial aspirants also goes to tell you the kind of resources the PDP has in terms of the membership of the party, so we could have picked from any of them, so were not restricted and what is has produced Mutfwung, The expectation of the people of plateau state will be fulfilled in this new Journey that the PDP started,”
“Though it is an enormous burden on the shoulder of Mutfwung emerging as the Guber candidate of the PDP in Plateau State, He can’t afford to fail as the ground is already set for him to build on this atmosphere of great expectancy, as the people of plateau state are looking, knowing that they have that option an alternative as they will not be disappointed.”
“What the PDP left behind in 2015 has never been met, never been equaled or surpassed, instead the people have been served a plow, terrible decay in both physical development and relational development, leading to citizens becoming very fragmented as such the PDP has a very clear chance of putting relationships back on track.” He further stated
Barr. Caleb Mutfwang emerged the winner of the Peoples Democratic Party PDP Primary Election held at Langsfield Rayfield after scoring 252 to beat other 16 Aspirants.
