YouTube has unveiled its official 2025 Nigeria Year-in-Review, showcasing the music videos, digital creators, and entertainment content that captured the attention of Nigerian audiences throughout the year.
In the annual report, gospel singer Akinade “Gaise Baba” Ibuoye and Nollywood actress Omoni Oboli emerged as the most outstanding figures on the platform.
The announcement was made in a statement signed by Addy Awofisayo, YouTube’s Head of Music for Sub-Saharan Africa.
Gaise Baba dominated the music scene with his viral hit “No Turning Back II”, featuring Lawrence Oyor. Released in mid-May, the video quickly went viral, amassing over 41 million views within six months and becoming the most streamed Nigerian music video on YouTube in 2025.
