A 50-year-old woman has shared her experience of pregnancy at an advanced age, revealing the physical discomforts she has been experiencing while expressing joy and excitement about her unborn baby.
The woman, identified on Facebook as Ekra Unfiltered, described some of the challenges of her pregnancy, including difficulty sitting comfortably, numbness and pain in her arms at night, bloating and persistent body heat that has made it difficult for her to sleep.
In her post, she explained that she often feels the need to be pampered and spends much of her time lying on her side because of the discomfort.
She also expressed concern about the changes in her abdomen as her pregnancy progresses, saying she sometimes feels as though her belly could burst as it grows.
Despite the challenges, the expectant mother said her doctor had assured her that she was doing well. She added that feeling her baby move makes the experience worthwhile, describing the sensations as heavenly and a source of comfort amid her worries.
She concluded by wishing other mothers, expectant mothers and women hoping to conceive the very best.
Her experience highlights the mixture of physical challenges and emotional joys that can accompany pregnancy later in life.
