A woman is grieving the loss of her mother just a day after making a dark joke on X, formerly Twitter.
On Jan. 4, 2025, an X user with the handle @_Cruisemistress responded to a post that read, “The next level requires sacrifice,” by jokingly asking, “Baba, who should I bring?”
Tragically, she returned to the platform today, Feb. 4, to share that her mother passed away the day after she made the tweet.
“Exactly one month ago, I jokingly made this tweet, and the next day, I lost my mom. I lost my spiritual shield and prayer warrior. No, she wasn’t sick. I haven’t been myself since then,” she wrote.
Her post has since garnered an outpouring of support, with X users offering condolences and urging her not to blame herself for the sudden loss.
