Nigerian football star Victor Osimhen has been nominated for the 2025 CAF Men’s Player of the Year award.
The Galatasaray striker, who clinched the prestigious title in 2023, will compete against nine other top African players for the coveted honour.
Other nominees include Mohamed Salah (Egypt), Achraf Hakimi (Morocco), Serhou Guirassy (Guinea), Fiston Mayele (DR Congo), Frank Anguissa (Cameroon), and Dennis Bouanga (Gabon).
Also on the shortlist are Pape Matar Sarr (Senegal), Ilman Ndiaye (Senegal), and Ousmanne Lamloui (Tunisia).
Osimhen, known for his exceptional goal-scoring ability and dynamic play, remains one of Africa’s most consistent performers in European football.
Last year, fellow Nigerian and Atalanta winger Ademola Lookman won the award, marking a proud moment for Nigerian football on the continental stage.
