The peoples Democratic Party PDP in Plateau state have kick started their Gubernatorial Primary Election holding at Langfield in Jos Plateau State.
However, three of the governorship aspirants, out of 18 have announced their withdrawal from the race.
Those self withdrawn aspirants are, Yakubu Jack Pam from the Northern Zone, Hon. Timothy Golu from Kanke, and Arc. Vincent Nanle from Mangu LGA, made their withdrawal declarations in both written and verbal form.
Jack Perry wrote a letter of withdrawal sent to the electoral panel who read it to the audience on the flow of the convention hall, Timothy Golu on his path, announced his withdrawal on the flow in person as Arc. Vincent Nanle also made known his withdrawal in a written letter read by his brother, Barr. Wilson Nanle.
Meanwhile, number of the accredited voters are as follows; Wase 38, L North 43, L/South 31, Mikang 30, QP 34, Shendam 33, B/Ladi 34, Bassa 49, Jos East 30, Jos north 40, Jos South 34, Ryom 31, Bokkos 42, Kanke 19, Pankshin 36, Mangu 45, Kanam 34, Total =604.
Votes has just began with Wase LGA delegates queuing up to begin casting their votes.
