University of Jos Resumes Full Academic Activities Today

The University of Jos has resume full academic activities today, Monday 8th October, 2018. The Management of the University of Jos had earlier informed all Staff and
Students of the University, Parents, Guardians as well as members of the
public that academic and administrative activities will resume in the
University.

The University of Jos had earlier gone on an emergency break following disturbances in parts of Jos North which led to the death of one student.

Mr Monday M. Danjem, Registrar of the University of Jos, Announced that “this follows wide consultation of all stakeholders in the University
including Deans and Directors, Heads of Departments, The four Staff
Unions ASUU, SSANU, NASU and NAAT, leadership of the National
Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) and the Students Union
Government (SUG), after which it was resolved that activities should
resume in the best interest of the University.

In view of the gradual return of normalcy to Jos Metropolis,
Management wishes to assure all members of the University Community that
adequate security measures have been put in place to ensure their
safety. Members of the University Community especially Staff and Students are hereby advised to comply with the directive, please.”
