The University of Jos Alumni Association has communicated through a press statement its intention to hold her 2017 Mega Reunion and Dinner on Thursday September 28th, 2017 at the Yar’adua Centre Abuja.

UNIJOS ALUMNI TO HOLD MEGA REUNION AND DINNER
The University of Jos Alumni Association (UJAA) shall hold Her 2017 Unijos Alumni Mega Reunion and Dinner on Thursday September 28th, 2017 at the Yar’adua Centre Abuja.
The event, arguably the biggest gathering of graduates of the University of Jos (Josites) in a Reunion is being organized to bring Josites together to discuss issues that would help attract the needed infrastructure to the University.
During the event, Alumni members who have distinguished themselves in their areas of calling shall receive awards, while Josites who recently got into Executive and Appointive positions in both the public & private sectors, would be recognized and celebrated. The Vice Chancellor of the University of Jos, Professor Sebastian Seddi Maimako (also a Josite) will be making his first major appearance among the Josites Alumni family, having assumed office in June 2016.
The highpoint of the evening is unveiling a 3D presentation of the Unijos Alumni Centre Project, a multi purpose Centre to be built on the permanent site of the university, that will incorporate a 300 seat Auditorium, meeting rooms, offices, shops, an Internet bar, reception lounges and an Honours arcade.
All funds raised during the event will be deployed towards building the Centre.
Aside Comedian (Stanley Chibunna aka Funnybone), many other A List Acts are expected to thrill the audience, which shall include the Speaker of the Federal House of Representatives – Hon Yakubu Dogara ,25 other Legislators from the National Assembly, 5 Governors (who are Josites), His Excellencies Rt Hon Simon Lalong (Plateau), Owelle Rochas Okorocha (Imo), Alh Atiku Bagudu (Kebbi), Alh Muhammed Abubakar ( Bauchi), Members of the Federal Executive Council, former Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Senator Anyim Pius Anyim, former Inspector General of Police, Sir Mike Okiro, Captains of Industry and several other very distinguished Josites.
It promises to be an evening of fun, banters throwing, and Camaraderi as Josites are expected to attend from Nigeria, and the diaspora.
