Earlier reports suggest that the Unijos lecturer with the Department of Political Science, Mr Gubak Daniel, in the heat of an argument with his wife, allegedly took the hot water his wife was boiling to bathe their children and poured it on her.
While he maintained that it was all in self-defense as he also had injuries. As earlier reported by this medium (Here)
Speaking to our correspondent and narrating the sad incident, a close source to the family who begged to be anonymous said
“A minor quarrel ensued between them in the morning of the faithful day, however, the wife who seems to be compounded with some pending issues carried the water she was boiling and aimed at damaging her husbands face, but while in self-defence, he immediately stretched forth his left hand and the boiling water splashed on the both of them leaving both of them with injuries”
The source went on to describe, Mr Happy Gobak as a peace-loving and hard-working man who can be attested to by his neighbours and tenants.
“As such the public should disregard any unbalanced information as both of them have become victims due to the injuries sustained”.
The source went on to share photos (below) of how Mr Gobak had also sustained injuries which would have been worst if not for his promptness in trying to avoid the damaging attack.
The report has been greeted with different accusations, however, the case has since been lodged with the Nassarawa Gwom police division in Jos the Plateau state capital, as the Police is yet to issue any public statement.
