Renowned Nigerian author Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie has taken a swipe at President Donald Trump’s administration, likening its leadership style to that of autocratic African rulers.
She emphasized that the president’s administration “really does feel” like America is being governed by an “African big man.”
Speaking in a recent interview on the CBC network, Adichie said, “America no longer feels aspirational to me… The present administration in the U.S. just feels to me like a Nigerian government. It really does feel like America is being governed by an ‘African Big Man’.”
