Tyla Win’s iHeartRadio World Artist of the Year, Triumphs Over Burna Boy, Tems

South African music sensation Tyla has secured the World Artist of the Year title at the 2025 iHeartRadio Music Awards, outshining top contenders Burna Boy, Tems, Central Cee, and YG Marley.

The 23-year-old singer, who rose to global fame with her hit track “Water”, made history as the first-ever recipient of the category at the prestigious event, held at the Dolby Theatre in Los Angeles on Monday, March 17, 2025.

Beyond Tyla’s landmark win, the awards ceremony celebrated some of the biggest stars in the music industry. Taylor Swift was named Artist of the Year, with her record-breaking Eras Tour earning the distinction of Tour of the Century.

Mariah Carey was honored with the iHeartRadio Icon Award, while Lady Gaga received the Innovator Award. Other notable winners included:
