Two Festival Prizes for Minority Voices have been announced by the Ibom Art and Book Festival.

In line with the initiative of discovering, uplifting, and celebrating Important voices in the arts, Ibom art and book festival, has introduced two new categories to the festival to give minority voices a chance at being in the spotlight through the New Voice Prize for Creative Writing and Global Minority Prize for Literature Award.

The New Voice Prize for Creative Writing is awarded to the best-unpublished work of fiction or nonfiction by writers from the Niger Delta Region. Approximately $400 would be divided between the first, second and third place winners plus a publication in selected literary journals and magazines.

While the Global Minority Prize for Literature is awarded to the best-unpublished work of fiction or nonfiction by writers from our list of countries considered as minorities. $300 plus a publication in selected literary journals and magazines is awarded to one overall winner.
