Troops of Sector 6, Operation Hakorin Damisa (OPEP), have arrested a suspected criminal in connection with an alleged attack on a man and his family in Riyom Local Government Area of Plateau State.
The suspect, identified as Isah Ardo, was arrested at about 4:20 p.m. on Monday, September 21, 2026, by troops deployed in Ganawuri.
According to military sources, Ardo was apprehended in Ganawuri Town over the reported attack on Bagu Manuly and his family at Gonifal Guru in Ganawuri District.
The suspect is currently in military custody and undergoing preliminary investigation as authorities work to establish his alleged involvement and the motive behind the incident.
The arrest forms part of ongoing security operations by troops under Operation Hakorin Damisa to address criminal activities and improve security in parts of Plateau State.
Authorities are expected to provide further details as the investigation progresses.
