A socio-political group, the Tribe of Ephraim, has launched a large-scale advocacy walk across local government areas in the Plateau Central Senatorial District, drawing widespread grassroots participation and support.
The initiative, which commenced over the weekend, is aimed at promoting good governance while mobilizing support for the continuity of Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

Beyond endorsing the current administration, the movement is also advocating for a leadership shift within the district by projecting Ephraim Usman as a credible alternative. Organizers say the move is driven by growing concerns over what they describe as inadequate representation and the need for more purposeful leadership.
Speaking during a press briefing in Bokkos on Sunday, the leader of the movement, Panle Samuel, said the campaign has already garnered significant support, with over 5,000 participants turning out in solidarity.
The advocacy walk also witnessed a strong turnout in Kanke, particularly in Kabwir, where residents came out in large numbers to endorse both the President and the Governor, while declaring support for Usman as their preferred candidate to represent the zone.
Organizers disclosed that the campaign will extend to other parts of the senatorial district, including Pankshin, Kanam, and Mangu, as efforts intensify to build momentum and galvanize grassroots backing for improved governance and effective representation in Plateau Central.
