Three sisters have reportedly lost their lives after consuming a poisoned egg sauce prepared by their stepmother in DSC Steel Town, Udu Local Government Area of Delta State.
Sources revealed that the stepmother confessed to poisoning the meal, claiming she did not intend to kill them but only wanted to make them sick because they refused to accept her as their stepmother.
The girls’ father was unavailable at the time of this report, while their remains have been deposited in the mortuary, leaving neighbors in shock and sorrow.
It was learned that the stepmother was the best friend of the late mother of the three girls, who died a year ago.
It was also gathered that the stepmother, who had children with three different men (all of whom are now deceased), moved into the home of her late best friend and married her widowed husband less than a year ago.
