High Chief Government Ekpemupolo, popularly known as Tompolo, has donated 50 vehicles to support the activities of the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in Kano State ahead of the 2027 general elections.
The vehicles were presented in Kano on Sunday to facilitate grassroots mobilisation across the state’s 44 Local Government Areas.
The PBAT Door-to-Door Movement is campaigning for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and plans to establish coordinators and ambassadors at the grassroots, including polling-unit level.
Receiving the vehicles, Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf said they would be deployed to support political mobilisation and party structures across the state.
Yusuf also appealed to political leaders in the North to support Tinubu’s bid for a second term, arguing that the South should complete an eight-year presidential tenure before power returns to the North.
He said the North had completed eight years under former President Muhammadu Buhari, after which power shifted to the South with Tinubu’s election in 2023.
The governor further urged political parties to conduct issue-based and peaceful campaigns ahead of the 2027 elections, focusing on their programmes and records rather than personal attacks.
Representing Tompolo at the event, Kestin Pondi said Nigerians should not be misled by calls for a single-term presidency and urged voters to support continuity in the policies of the Tinubu administration.
The Kano donation follows similar mobilisation activities by the PBAT Door-to-Door Movement in other states, including Katsina and Borno, where campaign vehicles and other materials were recently unveiled.
