President Bola Tinubu has directed the Minister of Defence, the Chief of Defence Staff, Service Chiefs, the Inspector-General of Police, and the Director-General of the Department of State Services (DSS) to identify and apprehend those responsible for the deadly attack on Kasuwan Daji market in Niger State.

The directive was contained in a statement issued on Sunday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.

The attack occurred earlier on Sunday at a village market in Kabe District, Borgu Local Government Area of Niger State, where terrorists reportedly killed nearly 40 people and abducted several others.

President Tinubu also ordered security agencies to urgently rescue all abducted victims and ensure that those behind the attack are brought to justice.

“These terrorists have tested the resolve of our country and its people. They must, therefore, face the full consequences of their criminal actions,” the President said.

“No matter who they are or what their intent is, they must be hunted down. They, and all those who aid, abet, or enable them in any form, will be caught and brought to justice,” he added.
