Popular Nigerian TikTok creator Jarvis has threatened to take legal action against fellow content creator Peller over allegations linking her to money laundering activities on the platform.
The controversy began after Peller, during a recent livestream, claimed that money laundering was taking place through TikTok’s gifting feature and insinuated that Jarvis might be involved. He further recounted an incident where a supporter allegedly offered to split proceeds from TikTok gifts — a method he claimed was commonly used to disguise illicit funds.
Although the two creators were later seen interacting online, sparking speculation that they might have reconciled privately, Jarvis’s management, Aiso Entertainment, on Sunday, released a statement refuting the allegations and describing them as false, defamatory, and damaging to her reputation.
According to the statement, Jarvis — whose real name is Jadrolita — has never been involved in any illegal financial dealings and views Peller’s comments as a deliberate attempt to tarnish her image.
“The management of Jadrolita, alongside Jadrolita herself, unequivocally and categorically refutes this egregious claim in its entirety. She has never engaged in any form of illicit financial conduct,” the statement read.
The management demanded that Peller and his team issue a public apology within 48 hours, warning that failure to do so would prompt legal action to defend Jarvis’s name and brand integrity.
“We hereby demand that Peller and his management issue an immediate, unconditional, and publicly disseminated apology to Jadrolita and her team,” Aiso Entertainment stated.
As of the time of filing this report, Peller has yet to respond publicly to the demand.
