Support Group Presents Nomination Forms to Bagos for Jos South/Jos East Reps Race

A coalition of political supporters under the banner of Bagos Support Group has presented nomination and declaration of interest forms of the All Progressives Congress (APC) to former lawmaker, Dachung Musa Bagos, urging him to contest the Jos South/Jos East Federal Constituency seat in the forthcoming elections.

The presentation took place with members of the group drawn from across the constituency, including youths, women, and elders, signaling growing grassroots support for the former representative.

Speaking during the event, the leader of the group, Hon. Emmanuel Dung, popularly known as Gibok, said the forms were purchased through voluntary contributions from supporters who believe in Bagos’ leadership capacity and track record. He described the move as a clear demonstration of confidence in Bagos as the people’s preferred candidate.

According to him, the initiative reflects the collective will of constituents who are seeking credible representation at the National Assembly.

In his response, Bagos expressed appreciation to the group for their support and sacrifice, assuring them of his commitment to serve with integrity if elected.

He urged his supporters to remain peaceful and disciplined throughout the political process, warning against engaging in inflammatory remarks or actions against opponents.

The former lawmaker also called on his supporters to align with the vision of unity, peace, and inclusive governance being promoted by Plateau State Governor, Caleb Manasseh Mutfwang.

The event also featured the presentation of campaign materials by various groups, reaffirming their commitment to Bagos’ aspiration and underscoring strong grassroots backing for his potential candidacy.

The development is seen as an early signal of political mobilization ahead of the next electoral cycle in the constituency.
