Super Falcons defender Michelle Alozie has achieved a major milestone in her football career with a nomination for the prestigious 2025 FIFPRO Women’s World 11.

The 26-player shortlist for the global honour was unveiled on Monday, featuring top performers from across the world, chosen through votes cast by professional footballers.

Alozie’s nomination crowns an exceptional year for the Houston Dash right-back, who played a pivotal role in Nigeria’s impressive campaign at the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) in Morocco.

She was instrumental in the Super Falcons’ progress to the final, notably scoring the decisive goal in the semi-final clash against South Africa. Her stellar performances earned her a spot in the WAFCON Team of the Tournament.

Alozie joins an elite group of defenders on the shortlist, including Ona Batlle, Millie Bright, Lucy Bronze, Olga Carmona, Ellie Carpenter, Alex Greenwood, and Leah Williamson.

The final FIFPRO Women’s World XI will be announced on Monday, November 3, 2025, celebrating the best female footballers of the year.
