Nigeria’s national football team, the Nigeria national football team, has retained its 26th position in the latest FIFA men’s world rankings released on June 11.

The ranking follows a mixed run of international fixtures, including matches at the Unity Cup invitational tournament in London, where the Super Eagles defeated Zimbabwe 2–0 and recorded a 3–0 win over Jamaica.

The team also played a 2–2 draw against Poland in Warsaw before narrowly losing 2–1 to Portugal in Leiria in a recent friendly match.

Despite the mixed results, Nigeria remains third in Africa, behind Morocco and Senegal. Algeria and Egypt complete the continent’s top five.

On the global stage, the top five positions remain unchanged, with Argentina still ranked number one, followed by Spain, France, England, and Portugal.

FIFA confirmed that the next world rankings update will be released on July 20.
