Super Eagles goalkeeper, Stanley Nwabali, has officially parted ways with South African club Chippa United after spending four years at the club.
The development was confirmed in a statement released by Chippa United on Thursday.
According to the club, the 29-year-old shot-stopper submitted a formal transfer request, expressing his desire to move on from the team.
Nwabali, who signed a three-year contract extension with the club in 2024, was granted his request following mutual discussions.
Confirming the decision, Chippa United stated that it had “agreed to grant his release” and wished him well in the next phase of his career.
“We would like to sincerely thank Stanley Nwabali for the years of service, commitment, and professionalism he has shown during his time at Chippa United Football Club,” the statement read.
“His contribution to the club will always be appreciated.”
Nwabali joined Chippa United in 2021 and has since established himself as one of the club’s standout performers, earning national recognition with his consistent displays and rise to prominence with the Super Eagles.
