STF Bans All forms of black market activities in Jos-Bukuru Metropolis

The
Special Task Force, Operation Safe Haven has given a 24 hour ultimatum
to road side black market operators selling petrol in jericans in
different parts of Jos Bukuru metropolis.

According
to a statement signed by STF Media and Information Officer, Captain
Ikedichi Iweha, the decision was taken following a resolution at the end
of a meeting of heads of security agencies held at the STF headquarters
in Jos.

Captain
Ikedichi Iweha it was resolved at the meeting that compulsory seizure
of the product by security agents will commence at the expiration of the
ultimatum on Thursday 24th March 2016.

The
statement warned illegal marketers operating around the vicinity of the
NNPC mega filling station in Jos, under overhead bridges and those
littered in other nooks and corners of roads within the metropolis to
stop their illegal businesses immediately.

Since
the return of fuel scarcity over a month ago, black marketers have
literally taken over the streets as they can be seen all over major
streets.

Their activities of selling petrol in jericans to frustrated motorists have become a great source of concern to residents.
