Southern Delta University (SDU), Ozoro, Delta State, has warned students, prospective students and parents against dealing with unauthorised agents who claim they can secure admission, facilitate registration or arrange final-year clearance in exchange for money.
The university said all admission and administrative processes are handled through its approved official channels and that no individual or agent has been authorised to collect money, alter procedures or guarantee admission or clearance.
Management urged students and applicants to verify information directly with the university before making payments or providing personal information.
The institution also cautioned staff against acting as intermediaries in unauthorised transactions involving students or prospective students.
It warned that the university would not be responsible for financial losses or other problems arising from dealings with unauthorised persons.
The warning comes amid reports of individuals attempting to exploit students and families by claiming to have connections within the institution or the ability to secure preferential treatment.
