Jos, Plateau State – April 18, 2025
Controversial social media activist and influencer, VeryDarkMan, has taken a swipe at the Governor of Plateau State, Barr. Caleb Mutfwang, accusing him of prioritizing livestock over human lives amid a fresh wave of violent attacks in the state.
In a video posted on his social media page, the outspoken online personality reacted to a recent report by several media outlets, including Nigerian Stories, which stated that the Plateau State Government had launched an investigation into the alleged poisoning of 36 cows. The report also quoted the government as calling for calm over the incident.
VeryDarkMan questioned the rationale behind such swift action over the death of animals when, according to him, little or no investigation has been done about the ongoing killings of residents across parts of Plateau State.
“Without mixing words, the executive governor of Plateau State, Mr. Caleb Mutfwang, is an emb@rrassment and a disgr@ce to humanity,” he wrote in the caption accompanying his video. “In a nutshell, you mean the lives of cows are more important than the lives of your people? Where is humanity?”

The social justice advocate expressed deep disappointment not only in Governor Mutfwang but also in other governors across the Middle Belt and northern Nigeria, criticizing their perceived lack of urgency in addressing persistent violence and rising insecurity in the region.
His comments come in the wake of renewed attacks in communities in Bokkos and Bassa local government areas, where over 100 people have reportedly been killed in recent weeks. Despite condemnations and calls for peace, citizens have continued to demand more proactive and visible responses from political leaders.
As tensions remain high, VeryDarkMan’s remarks have sparked mixed reactions online, with some supporting his blunt critique, while others have cautioned against inflammatory statements during a delicate time for the state.
