Nigerian singer Skales has responded after his 2014 hit track, Shake Body, experienced a resurgence in popularity, thanks to a viral dance moment involving Spanish football stars Lamine Yamal and Gerard Piqué.
A Twitter user humorously remarked about the song’s new success, saying:
“@youngskales the soap wey you baff for this song that year nah now e dey work o🤣..”
Skales responded with a reply, attributing the song’s ongoing success to his prayers rather than superstition.
He wrote:
“Haha this one no be soap … the prayer wey I dey pray everyday to God … him don answer and e don dey manifest … God is real.”
