Controversial singer Portable has turned himself into the police days after being declared wanted by the Ogun State Police Command.

The musician, who had been in hiding since February 17, surrendered himself on February 19 at the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID) in Panti, Yaba, Lagos. He is currently being transported to Ogun State, where he will be handed over to authorities.

Announcing his decision on Instagram Stories, Portable wrote:

“Thank God, police is our friend.”

Earlier, the singer had re-emerged on social media, posting a message seeking divine intervention amid his legal troubles. He wrote:

“Oba Anu, I am going out today. God, turn my battle into blessings. Let Your grace speak for me. God, don’t let my enemies shame me. Open my ways because of my children, my family, and those I help. God, send my own helper to me…”

Portable was wanted in connection to an alleged assault on Ogun State government officials. Following the incident, his properties were sealed, and he was charged to court alongside some associates—though he failed to appear.

His sister had previously pleaded on his behalf, claiming he was under a spell.
